General
Arnold grew up in an aviation family, first soloed in 1971, and has been an aircraft owner
since 1980, currently owning a Piper Aztec.
Arnold's aviation career as a maintenance technician began in 1976 when he earned a degree
in Aeronautics Technology from Sacramento City College. He achieved his Inspection
Authorization Certificate in 1981, and was part owner of a Concord-based general aviation
FBO in 1983.
Arnold founded APRI Aviation, Inc. in 1990, a Corporate Aviation FAR 145 Certified Repair
Station with capabilities from KingAir 200 to Gulfstream IV. He purchased Concord Aviation, Inc.
and facilities (40,000 sq feet of hangar and office space
and a 20,000 gallon jet fueling facility) in 1994. Arnold is currently Executive Vice President,
CFO and General Manager of Apex Technical Services. Apex was formed by merging Concord
Aviation and Apri Aviation with James Markel & Associates, Inc. of Napa and Sonoma
Aviation Fuel Services of Santa Rosa.
Personal
Married with two children. Active member of United Sportsman's, Inc., Member of Professional
Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA),
National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), and National Aviation Transportation Association
(NATA). Currently serves as Co-Chairman of the Concord Chamber of Commerce Aviation Commitee
and as Chairman of the Airport Coalition-Buchanan
Field/Concord Airport.
